SLL Weekly Update #14

It’s hard to believe we have reached the playoffs for our older divisions and only have a couple weeks left of games this spring.

FUNDRAISER
We hope everyone who was able to attend the fundraiser on Saturday had a good time. We raised over $30,000 for the league!!! We cannot thank you all enough for your generosity and support.

Some of that money will go towards equipment and minor upgrades around the park. However, we would like to use the bulk of that money as the early funds towards covering the batting cages! If you have a company or know someone who does that might be interested in quoting the project, please let us know.

RAFFLE TICKETS
Raffle tickets are due to one of the concessions stands by next Thursday night, May 12th. We will draw the raffle winners following the AA and Rookie championship games on Saturday, May 14th. You do not need to be in attendance to win.

MOMS/COACHES GAME
Following the rookie and AA championships, our annual moms’ game and coaches’ game will be held on May 14th at 5:30pm and 6:30pm respectively on Bartlett Field. We divide each group into two teams and hit off the pitching machine. Come out and have some fun. Food will be provided.

MAKE-UP PICTURES
Make-up pictures are Monday, May 9th. Rookie Cubs are scheduled for 5pm. Anyone wanting individual retakes should come between 520-620pm. They will be done in the registration building at Brinkley Park (the white building between Cook and Hambrick field)

ALL STARS
Our Rookie and AA all-stars will be announced late on Tuesday evening. Players who made a team will receive an email and we will post the teams on our website on Wednesday.
