SLL Weekly Update - Upcoming Events

Thank you all for your flexibility last Saturday to make the parade happen! Despite the cold temps, it ended up being an amazing day!

It wouldn’t be a weekly update if we didn’t mention weather… we are forecasted for rain overnight tonight. We will assess fields early tomorrow and get an email and text out before our 9am games need to leave their houses. If you have morning pictures, those are on as scheduled regardless of any game cancellations.

BRAVES GAME
Please join us at Smyrna Little League Day at the Braves game on Sunday, April 23rd at 1:30pm vs. the Houston Astros. We have 1000 tickets reserved, all of which include a walk around the warning track before the game for players. To purchase tickets, please visit https://sllbraves2023.givesmart.com

Tickets are first come, first served. The deadline to purchase tickets is next Tuesday, April 11th. If you want to sit with specific people, please purchase in one transaction (max 10 tickets per transaction).

ANNUAL FUNDRAISER
On Saturday, April 29th, we invite you back to Truist Park for our annual Fundraiser. This is an adult only evening event (why should the kids have all the fun) held in the Hank Aaron Terrace starting. Ticket link will be sent out soon. Money raised at the fundraiser goes right back into the park. Past year's projects include the lower fields playground, the netting above the lower fields, and the new batting cages.

As part of the fundraiser, we will have a silent auction. Each team is asked to create a “basket” for the silent auction. If you have idea, please reach out to your team mom/dad or coach. We are also looking for other non-basket items to include in the auction. Let us know if you have additional ideas.

SPRING BREAK
Cobb County Spring Break is the week after next. We will have games next Saturday, April 1st, but we will be off through the following weekend. If you haven’t communicated your availability to your coaches for next Saturday, please do so ASAP.

LOST AND FOUND
The lost and found at the park is piling up! We have a lost and found cart at each location (Brinkley top fields, Brinkley lower fields, Chuck Camp). Please take a look next time you are at the park.
