Spring 2025 Smyrna Little League registration is officially open!  Please use this link to register.  We expect a couple of divisions to fill up prior to the Christmas holidays, and encourage registering early.  A reminder a new registration must be completed for every individual player to participate during the spring SLL season.

Please read this email in its entirety because Little League has changed the registration system and we want to answer as many of your questions here.  

Changes: 

• This year we are excited to have a “new to us” division of Rookie 7s.   In an effort to have our athletes playing with their own age group (as they do in older divisions)  we have decided to split the Rookie division to Rookie 7s and Rookie 8s.  

Questions You Might Have While Registering (and questions about the new central-registration system): 

• How do I calculate my child’s Little League Age?   How old is your child on August 31, 2025? That is his/her Little League Age. You can also use this link to help you determine his/her age

• If I deferred my registration from Fall - do I still need to register?  Yes!!!!! A new registration must be completed for every individual player to participate during the spring SLL season - this includes those who deferred fall registrations and all members of the 2024-25 Slammers program, who are required to play Rec during the spring SLL season.

• On the registration page, there is a place for me to pick my child’s teammates and/or coach.  Is this for all divisions?  Great question!  Our younger divisions (TB/PW) need to list a coach and/or teammates.  We will do our best to accommodate those requests.  Our older divisions (Rookie, AA, AAA, Majors) will go through player evaluations and will be drafted on teams.  They will not be able to select a teammate/coach.  If there are extenuating circumstances, please let us know and we will try to accommodate those requests.   We know that is a required question to answer. We do not set up the form and do not have the ability to change the question.  

• Why do I need to list my child’s school for Little League registration?  In an attempt to have all of our players in-district, Little League is asking for schools.  If you do not attend a school listed in the drop down menu, no worries!  Please fill out all other questions.  If you feel like Little League missed your child’s Smyrna school, please let us know.

• I am trying to pay with my American Express and the payment is spinning.  Unfortunately, there seems to be a glitch with the Little League central registration system and American Express.  Please try another payment method for your Spring 2025 registration. 

• What bat should my child use during Little League games?  If you are considering equipment as a holiday gift - please remember that Little League requires USA bats and Smyrna Little League requires face cages on helmets.  

• How else can I give back to Smyrna Little League?   We would love your help!  We are still looking for a few board members to join our team.  If you have any interest in joining our safety team, our sponsorship team, our fields and equipment team, or treasurer, please email [email protected] with your preferred position.

• Dust off the Glove  - Saturday, February 1

• Evaluations  - February 6-8

• First Games -  All divisions will start Saturday, March 8

• Parade - Saturday, March 15th (parade starting at 10AM)

• Opening Day - Saturday, March 15th 

• SLL Picture Day - TBD

• SLL Day at the Braves Game - Sunday, May 4th vs. the Dodgers

• SLL Adults Only Fundraiser  - TBD
